Kool Whip is an indica-leaning hybrid cannabis strain bred by LIT Farms in California from Ice Cream Cake #3 and Project 4516. Most of the flower on shelves is grown by Good Day Farm, which has listed it at its dispensaries in Missouri, Louisiana and Mississippi.

Where Kool Whip comes from

SeedFinder’s entry, which quotes the breeder, lists Kool Whip as a LIT Farms cross of Ice Cream Cake #3 and Project 4516, sold as feminized seed. Weedmaps tells the same story: bred by LIT Farms in California, then carried onto dispensary menus by Good Day Farm. Seed banks such as Heritage Seed Bank still list the LIT Farms pack.

Leafly’s page puts Good Day Farm in the breeder slot. Good Day Farm is the grower most people buy it from, not the breeder, so treat that as a database quirk.

You will also see it spelled Cool Whip. LIT Farms has a separate strain called Reddy Whip, which is not the same plant.

Aroma and flavor

The name is accurate. Leafly’s flavor tags are vanilla, nutty and sweet, with reviewers adding cream and dough. Good Day Farm describes its cut as creamy vanilla with citrus. Weedmaps notes a fuel edge and an occasional pine note under the sweetness, which is the Project 4516 side showing.

Leafly lists myrcene as the dominant terpene, followed by limonene and caryophyllene.

THC and what to expect

Leafly lists Kool Whip at 19% THC with about 1% CBG. Weedmaps gives a wider range of 19% to 27%, and Leafly reviewers mention bags labeled above 25%.

With 53 reviews on Leafly, the most reported effects are relaxed, sleepy and happy, and the most reported downsides are dry eyes, dizziness and dry mouth. Those are consumer reports, not predictions. No. Kool Whip was not on any of the 32 licensed menus in our October 2026 count.

Its best-known parent was everywhere. Ice Cream Cake was on 11 of 32 menus, one of the ten most stocked strains in the city, at $30 to $50 per eighth with 17% to 31% THC on the labels.
