Where Lieutenant Lemon comes from
Lieutenant Lemon is a name that belongs to one company. Trulieve’s product page says the strain is a phenotype of Cap’s Frozen Lemon that its growers picked out in a pheno hunt, and that it was named after a veteran. The parents it gives, Lemon Fire and Freezer Burn, match the breeder record for Capulator’s Frozen Lemons on SeedFinder and Weedmaps.
There is no Leafly or Weedmaps strain page for Lieutenant Lemon itself, which is typical for a single-company cut.
A few names get confused with it. FTH Lemon Pepper is a different product from another Florida operator. Florida Lemons is a DNA Genetics strain. And a second strain called Frozen Lemons, from Dank Genetics, has different parents.
Aroma and flavor
Trulieve describes a “refreshingly tart lemon flavor”. The breeder’s notes for the parent strain describe strong lemon with a snow cone sweetness underneath.
The only terpene panel we found is for Trulieve’s Blue River live rosin made from the strain: 8.64% total terpenes, led by terpinolene at 4.04%, with myrcene at 0.91% and ocimene at 0.79%. Terpinolene-dominant flower is uncommon, and it is the profile behind the bright, citrus and pine character of classic hazes and of Jack Herer.
THC and what to expect
There is one public flower figure: a buyer at Trulieve’s Eustis store posted a batch labeled 21% THC with 1.9% terpenes. Trulieve’s live rosin made from the strain is listed at 67% THC, which is normal for a concentrate and not comparable to flower.
Trulieve describes the effect as active and upbeat, suited to daytime. We found no pool of consumer reviews for this cut, so that is the seller’s description and nothing more. Our THC calculator turns a label percentage into milligrams.
Is Lieutenant Lemon sold in NYC dispensaries?
No. Lieutenant Lemon is a Trulieve cut sold in Florida, and it was not among the 1,219 strain names on the 32 licensed NYC dispensary menus we read on Oct 19, 2026.
If you are after the same bright, lemon-forward, daytime style, the city has plenty. Super Lemon Haze was on 12 of 32 menus at $26.55 to $50 per eighth on Oct 19, 2026, Jack Herer (also terpinolene-led) was on 17, and 41 names in the dataset contain the word lemon. Our NYC weed strains database lists every strain we found and the shops that carry it. Menus change daily, so confirm with the shop first.
Buy only from a licensed shop. Our license checker looks up any store by name, street or ZIP against the state list, the Office of Cannabis Management has its own verification page, and our NYC dispensary directory lists every licensed shop by borough.
Where Lieutenant Lemon is sold
Florida only, at Trulieve dispensaries, as flower and as Blue River live rosin. Florida is a medical-only market, so you need a state medical card. Trulieve’s product page was not loading reliably when we checked, so the strain may be between harvests; call your store.
