Where Swiss Watch comes from
Every source agrees on the parents: Gary Payton and Runtz. Who made the cross is less clear. Weedmaps credits Self Made, a farm in Oregon’s Applegate Valley, and a Rare Dankness product listing calls it Self Made’s Swiss Watch. Oregon Leaf magazine, reviewing the flower in 2024, says only that Self Made grew it, and the review site The Highest Critic lists the breeder as unknown.
The earliest dated review we found is from January 2023, so it is a recent arrival. Gary Payton, the better-known parent, is the Cookies and Powerzzzup cross of The Y and Snowman. Seeds sold under the Swiss Watch name come from third-party seed makers, not from an original breeder.
Aroma and flavor
This is a loud, fuel-first strain. The Highest Critic’s review describes petrol, pepper, burnt rubber and kerosene over a candy sweetness, with cinnamon, clove and cocoa on the finish. Oregon Leaf found diesel, tropical candy, vanilla ice cream and an earthy musk. Leafly’s flavor tags are simply diesel and sweet.
Weedmaps lists caryophyllene, limonene and linalool as the main terpenes. A Florida retail listing adds myrcene. One Oregon batch reported 3.72% total terpenes, which is high for flower.
THC and what to expect
Leafly lists no THC figure. The batch data we found is strong: 33.15% on a Self Made outdoor batch reviewed by Oregon Leaf, 27.14% on a batch from The Heights Co., and 23% to 31% across Weedmaps product listings.
Accounts of the effect conflict. Leafly has only three reviews, and they say energetic, creative and uplifted. The Highest Critic and the Florida retailer FLUENT describe the opposite: heavy, sedating and likely to keep you on the couch. With THC this high, plan for the heavier version and start small. Is Swiss Watch sold in NYC dispensaries?
